The Yule Lads visit Ljósafoss Hydropower Station

Landsvirkjun, the national power company of Iceland, is in a holiday mood and wants to welcome everyone to visit their Ljósafoss Hydropower Station Saturday November 25th between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. This is Landsvirkjun's oldest power station and is located near Ljósafoss by Lake Úlfljótsvatn’s outflow, about 45 minute drive out of Reykjavík. The station is located on the river bank east of the waterfall, and the water runs through pipes to the station’s turbines and from there into the river below the waterfall.

Enjoy this unique holiday event with some hot cocoa and almonds, the Yule Lads Spoon Licker, Bowl Licker and Sausage Swiper will welcome you, the local scouts will get you into some games and the Harp Choir will get you in the holiday spirit.

This is an event for the whole family and a great opportunity to meet the Yule Lads from Dimmuborgir by Lake Mývatn!
