Welcome to Hótel Rauðaskriða which is a three star, eco-certified (Nordic Eco-label), family run hotel, located at road 85 between Húsavík and Akureyri.

Our location is extremely peaceful and therefore ideal for people who want relaxation and quietness but still want to be central and close to all the natural attractions in North East Iceland like Goðafoss waterfall, Lake Mývatn, Dettifoss waterfall, Dimmuborgir lavafield,  Whale Watching in Húsavík, Ásbyrgi Canyon and Akureyri.

We offer comfortable and spacious rooms with a delicious breakfast buffet and a beautiful view over Kinnarfjöll Mountains. Our restaurant also offers “a la carte” dinner in the evenings. All our rooms have private facilities and are equipped with a hair-dryer, coffee/tea set, TV with satellite channels and free internet. There are also hot tubs available for our guests where it is good to relax after eventful days.
